From what we've heard, PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN was MOSTLY finished filming his scenes for "The Hunger Games:  Mockingjay, Part 2" before his death last Sunday.

However, there was one "major" scene left.

Well, the "New York Post" claims the producers have decided to solve that problem by DIGITALLY RE-CREATING Hoffman . . . using "computer graphics and camera tricks."

A so-called "insider" says, quote, "You can do digital things, you can have conversations where you're not focusing on him but the people he's talking to."

By the way, TMZ says Hoffman's relapse may have started at the wrap party for "The Master" back in 2012.
