Former "Two and a Half Men" child star Angus T. Jones went off on Youtube last year about immoral the show is, and that led to him being fired. Now he’s grown an impressive beard and begun preaching around the country.
He says in the piece below, "It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people. I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn't OK with it and I was still doing it."
What I didn’t was “I’m giving all that shamefully-earned money back” or “I’m donating every penny I made on that show to do some good with ____________ charity!!!” Hmmmmmm.
The irony of this scene now is quite funny!!
I've been in radio since 1981, starting on Cape Cod, and in Boston, Massachusetts where I grew up. (when The Sox and Patriots both broke everyone's hearts, and the Celtics ruled. Funny how things change.)
After 3 years in Las Vegas in the late 80's, early 90's I was looking for work and luckily found myself here in Cleveland in 1991, through some mutual radio friends. I got to play the hits as Jammin 92's Night guy until 1999.
After watching my former company screw up the "Jammin' Oldies" thing for a couple of years, I settled in at what would eventually become iheartmedia, and iHeartradio, playing people's classic favorites... the best decision I ever made!
