Two Students Charged After Bassett High School Bomb Threat

Bassett High School was evacuated this morning around 10:00 a.m. after the Henry County Sheriff's Office received information that a threat had been made.

During the course of the investigation, officials said two students were identified as suspects through the use of cameras in the school and witness statements.  Sheriff's officials say that the two girls confessed the bomb threat was a hoax and that there never was a threat to students or staff.  Those two girls have been charged with felony threats to bomb or burn and misdemeanor obstruction of justice and are currently being held at the W.W. Moore Jr. Detention Home in Danville.
