Railroad crossing safety arms scrutinized following Amtrak crash

Drivers who regularly cross over the railroad tracks where an Amtrak train collided with a trash truck say they had seen the safety equipment appear to be malfunctioning a day before Wednesday's crash. 

The lead investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board says it's too early to say whether the safety arms at the Crozet train crossing were working when a train carrying GOP members of Congress hit the trash truck, killing one person.
