ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- The Roanoke Police Department said a man has been taken to the hospital after he was shot in the face.
Police said officers responded to a reported shooting on Hunt Avenue, NW around 10:52 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14.
On the scene, police said they found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the face.
They said the victim was in the breezeway of the apartment building and was conscious and speaking with officers.
Officers said the victim didn't give them much information about the person who shot him, but witnesses said the suspect had left the scene in a silver SUV and drove south on Hunt Avenue toward Liberty Road.
The victim was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Roanoke Fire-EMS for treatment.
