Woman charged after causing two vehicles to crash into house

March 9, 2018 - A woman has been charged after two vehicles crashed into a house on  Rivermont Avenue in Lynchburg yesterday. 

Emergency crews responded to the 400 block around 11:20 a.m. Thursday, March 8 after a truck and another vehicle went into the home.

The fire department said one of the drivers was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Patricia Tinsley, 50, was charged with improper and unsafe lane change.

Police said Tinsley went to change lanes and and the truck hit her and both went into the front of a home.

Officials said no one was in the home at the time of the crash and they are working to minimize the damage so the occupants will be able to go back inside.
