Virginia Tech proposing 2.9 percent tuition and fee increase

March 26, 2018 - The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors has approved a 2.9 percent increase in tuition and mandatory fees for resident undergraduate students for a third consecutive year and a 2.9 percent increase for non-resident graduate students.  Complete information on 2018-19 tuition and fees can be found HERE.

The board also voted to approve a resolution to authorize the university to spend up to $10 for the ACC Network Studio project.  The project, which will be paid for entirely with non-general funds, will improve and expand the broadcasting facilities needed to meet required telecasts of athletic games on the newe network set to launch in 2019.  

Additionally, up to $3.246 million in non-general funds were approved to renovate the Commonwalth Ballroom located in the Squires Student Center.  The ballroom is one of the largest and most frequently used student programming spaces on campus. 

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will be June 4-5, 2018 in Blacksburg.
