Entire Area Under A Tornado Watch

*Tornado Watch issued until 11pm for the Lynchburg, Danville and Roanoke area. *HEADLINES:

-Strong storms will slowly march eastward through our area Sunday night-Numerous Severe T-Storm Warnings -Rain ends early Monday, turning colder

FORECAST:Strong thunderstorm with heavy rain will bring severe weather to the Heart of Virginia. 

TIMING: Heaviest storms move through between Sunday now and 11PM 

IMPACTS: Straight line wind, street flooding, a few tornadoes could develop.

THOUGHTS ON THE STORMS:

-ROANOKE AREA: Strongest storms near 5pm, though showers are possible before and after 5pm.-LYNCHBURG AREA: Strongest storms near 8pm. Heavy rain will continue though midnight-SOUTHSIDE: Strongest storms arrive 5pm and 10pm, with heavier rain continuing afterward.-Most rain totals will be in the 1" to 2" range with a few, isolated amounts over 3" possible.
