3 arrested for trying to give supplies to pipeline protester in Giles Co.

Three people have been arrested at the monopod blockade in Giles County while attempting to deliver food and water to a protester of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, who's been in a tree for several weeks.

Red and her daughter have been in a tree on her property for 30 days.

The approximately 300-mile (480-kilometer) Mountain Valley Pipeline would start in West Virginia and run through southwest Virginia before connecting with a compressor station for another interstate pipeline in Pittsylvania County.

The pipeline would cross the Roanoke County property of Red.

Roanoke County Police have been monitoring the area and have said they would arrest anyone trying to give her food or water.
