Radford Army Ammunition Plant resumes production following fire

June 14, 2018 - BAE Systems, along with the Army, have announced that the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP) are beginning a staggered restart of production today with full production resuming on Monday, June18. 

They said both the Army and BAE Systems are continuing to work with investigator to determine what caused the earlier this week.  However, they said the facility has been inspected and is ready for partial operations to resume. 

Three employees were injured in the fire and were transported to Wake Forest Medical Center in North Carolina.  Two of the three men remain in critical condition while the third was discharged.

Professional counselors will continue to remain on site to support employees.
