Man faces 15 counts of embezzlement after exploiting Lynchburg man

The Lynchburg Police Department said a man has been arrested for financially exploiting an older man.

Police said they took a report from Adult Protective Services on June 13 on a possible financial exploitation that was happening in Lynchburg.

fter an investigation, police said they determined that a 63-year-old man had been exploited for more than $60,000.

Three days after getting the report, police said they arrested Leighton Stacy Dodd, 57, of Lynchburg without incident at his home.

He was taken to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail and charged with 15 counts of embezzlement.
