The Bedford County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Thursday for assault.
Officials said they responded to a call around 7:30 p.m. on Board Mountain Road where a caller reported that he had been assaulted by his brother.
A deputy arrived to the scene and spoke to the victim who was covered in blood and missing several teeth.
According to officials, the victim advised the deputy that he and his brother, Christopher Hartman, 27, had gotten into a verbal argument, when the Hartman struck the victim in the face.
They said after the victim fell to the ground, Hartman kicked him in the head repeatedly.
Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Hartman was arrested Thursday on a charge for Malicious Wounding.
