Lynchburg Police are investigating two shootings that occurred early Sunday morning.
One of the shootings happened at around 4:53 a.m. Police responded to the 1000 block of Taylor Street after receiving a call that someone had been shot.
Officials say that they spoke to the 18-year-old victim when they arrived on the scene who said he was walking down Taylor Street when he was shot.
The victim was shot in the right leg and was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police responded to the other shooting at 3:16 a.m. Sunday.
The incident occurred near 10th Street and Floyd Street, where they received several reports of shots being fired.
When officers arrived, they couldn't find a victim, but did see two parked cars on Floyd Street that had damage from gunshots.
Police also received a call at 3:22 a.m. from Lynchburg General Hospital saying a man came in to the ER with a gunshot wound.
Officers responded to the hospital where there was a 20-year-old Lynchburg man who received a gunshot wound to the side of his head.
