If you're like me and a lover of BBQ, then this is the article for you. The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad is holding an event called "BBQ & Brews" where people can ride a train and sample local craft beer and eat some good southern BBQ.
"Departing from Bryson City, these trains will travel to the Fontana Trestle. They'll arrive there around sunset and the website promises some amazing views. The train will then return to Bryson City around 9:00pm.
Your ticket includes the train ride, a souvenir cup to hold your three samples of Western Carolina beer, and of course, the BBQ.
The basket comes with a hand-pulled pork slider, pork ribs, and a chicken drumstick. Baked beans and house-made coleslaw are served on the side.
And if that wasn't enough, you're getting some apple cobbler for dessert. Anyone else drooling a bit?
Check out their website for the schedule and pricing.
Also, head on over to our friends at ABC13. They've got more information and tips on when to get the best autumn views in the months to come.
