Lynchburg DSS Under Fire After 22-Month Old Dies of Alleged Abuse

The Lynchburg Department of Social Services is under fire after 22-month-old Amarah Lane died o alleged abuse last week. The baby's paternal family is now considering taking legal action against DSS which they said failed the child on every level.

Amarah's paternal family, the Woody's, said they did everything they could prior to her death to warn the department about abuse and take custody of Amarah. They said they were denied every time and now a child is dead as a sresult.  Now they're not being allowed to give her a proper burial.
