Employees from the Woodwick Candle production facility in Blairs walked off the job Tuesday morning, protesting unfair wages.
"It's not fair at all,” said Latoya Beard, one of the employees who participated in the walk out.
The employees are upset after hearing that employees who work for their company in the Lynchburg facility recently walked off the job, and then got a raise. When the Blairs employees asked for that same raise, they said they were told no by the company. Now they're walking out, too.
"If I feel like I can stop working and get paid more, that's what I'm going to do,” Beard said.
