A library in Missouri has turned an old newspaper dispenser into something much more useful - it’s filled with school supplies, nonperishable food and personal care items that are all free for anyone in need to take. They’re calling it the “Kindness Kupboard.”
The Park Hills Public Library has painted the cupboard a bright, happy shade of yellow and have painted “Love grows when kindness is planted” on the side. They plan to keep it stocked with donations from local businesses, organizations, library patrons and community members. And from now through September 30th, the library is holding a “Fine Forgiveness Program” which forgives a dollar in fines for every item donated.
