Middle school can be especially tough, but some students at Harriman Middle School in Tennessee are doing their part to make sure everyone feels loved and included. They’re leaving notes with positive messages written in bright colors around hallways and in bathrooms on campus.
“If you realize it or not, someone loves you,” one note reads. Another reads, “Never give up. Stay strong.” There were between 50 and 100 notes of encouragement left by the group of students.
Nicole True is an eighth-grader and part of the group behind the positive messages. “I think it makes all the difference in the world,” she explains. “Considering the fact that all of us have had someone come up to us and say ‘that really affected us in a major way.’”
