On the first day of the Lockn' Festival on August 23, you couldn't have asked for better weather.
It wasn't too hot, although the stage sizzled with bands that drew thousands from as far away as California.
Organizers expanded the offering by adding more space for vendors and the ever-growing crowd.
They're expecting tens of thousands this weekend, making it the largest festival yet, as it opens up for the sixth year.
I just hope we can keep it going year after year. We like to present the best show we can here in Nelson County, and people seem to come out and enjoy it," said Dave Frey, a co-founder of Lockn'.
