Roanoke Schools To Spend Thousands To Keep Students Off Phones

Roanoke City Schools plans to spend more than $13,000 to keep high school students off their phones during math classes.

Students will be required to place their phone in a pouch, that the Roanoke Times reported will lock magnetically and a teacher will have to unlock with a separate device.

The School Board said each bag will cost $19 and there will be 350 bags at each school.
