UPDATE: Thursday Lynchburg Shooting Victim Died From Injuries

 Lynchburg Police  made an arrest in a shooting that happened Wednesday evening.

They said around 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1200 block of 17th Street for a report of shots fired.

When officers got there, they found an adult male victim inside the residence. 

25-year-old Tyler Lorenzo Harris of Lynchburg was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Lynchburg  Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported Harris  to Lynchburg General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

According  to police 35-year-old Asa Jeremiah Hogue of Lynchburg arrived at the  Lynchburg Police Department shortly after the shooting. 

They said he surrendered to them.
