LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- As Hurricane Florence approaches the U.S. coast, Lynchburg Emergency Services is carefully monitoring the storm.
They added they will keep a close eye on the weather as it relates to the College Lake dam and put their Emergency Action Plan into effect when needed.
The plan includes monitoring the dam at regular levels and, if it reaches a critical level, issuing an evacuation order.
