Roanoke Police say they are investigating a report of a missing three-month-old. They said her mother reported to them that she put here daughter, Arieanna Day, to sleep at 10:00 p.m. last night. She never left the home and went back to check on the baby around 11:00 p.m. and the child was gone.
The mother confirms that her home in the 1100 block of Hanover Avenue, NW was unlocked, but there was no sign of a break-in, according to police. They also say there was no indication that the child was taken by force.
"At three months old, I am very concerned about the child's life," police said. "We have about a 18-24 hour window, that is, if the child is receiving water. That doesn't account fr other nourishment she may need."
