Donald Scott Layne, 52, has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in connection to a homicide and attempted murder in Caswell County, North Carolina.
The Caswell County's Sheriff's Office said that deputies were called to a home Friday morning. They will release the names of the victims once the next of kin are notified.
Layne is facing charges in Danville after a victim reported that she was held against her will and sexually assaulted by Layne. He is currently charged with felony abduction by force to deprive of liberty and felony rape by force, threat, or intimidation.
His first court appearance is Wednesday, September 19 in Caswell General Court. He is set to go on trail in Danville on November 19.
