On September 13, 2018 at 9:40 p.m., officers of the Lynchburg Police Department were dispatchedto the 3400 block of Campbell Avenue for the report of a malicious wounding.
Officers were able to locate the suspect a short distance away from the crime scene and the Criminal Investigation Division was contacted.
The first victim, a 56-year-old resident of Lynchburg, was transported to the hospital by medics where he is receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds sustained in the altercation.
The second victim, a 55-year-old-resident of Lynchburg, transported themselves to the emergency room where they were treated for a single laceration to the arm.
Quintin Andra Jones, a 30-year-old resident of Lynchburg, was arrested without incident for both offenses. He was transported to Blue Ridge Regional jail where he is being help without bond on the following charges:

Police also responded to a shooting that left two people injured. According to officials, officers responded to the 1500 block of Buchanan Street around 10:44 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
A short time later, two people arrived, separately, at the Lynchburg General Hospital emergency room for treatment. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say the two were shot on Buchanan Street where officers were actively investigating.
At this time, the two people have not been identified. The first victim, a 24-year-old Lynchburg resident, receive a small gunshot wound to his arm while the second victim, a 20-year-old resident of Lynchburg, received a grazing wound to his head and back. Neither injuries are said to be life-threatening.
There is no word a suspect. This is an on-going investigation.
