Virginia State Police has identified the driver killed after his tractor-trailer got stuck on train tracks Friday evening.
Police said Alberto Zaldivar Columbie, 39, of Daleville was improperly parked on the railroad tracks on Georgia Pacific plant property in Big Island when the train approached around 7:15 p.m. Friday, September 14.
Columbie got out of the truck, and then the train slammed into the truck, pinning the driver between the truck and a building.
