Shelter Waives Adoption Fees To Get Florence Rescues New Homes

Animal shelters near North Carolina have been getting full with cats and dogs displaced from areas affected by Hurricane Florence, so one in Virginia is temporarily waiving fees to help them get adopted. The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is allowing adult cats to be adopted at no charge through this weekend so they can make room for new arrivals.

“Whether you are looking for a cat, dog, or any other kind of furry friend, stop by today to meet all our amazing adoptables,” the Animal Welfare League says, “In the process, you will change the life of not one but two animals in need.”
