Andy Taylor says he was finishing a morning workout when he started feeling sick and having heart problems. The Palm Beach County, Florida man’s children, Madison and Caleb, realized something was wrong and sprang into action to help him, according to County Fire Rescue.
“Maddie, my daughter, turned me over on my back,” Taylor explains. “My son, who got certified with CPR in middle school, just went to work and told his mom, 'I got this.’”
Now Taylor has recovered from his cardiac arrest and is doing well and his kids have been honored for helping their father. Madison and Caleb were awarded Palm Beach County Fire Rescue’s “Life Saving” Award and are happy their dad was by their side to see it.
Madison & Caleb Taylor were both honored this morning by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue for their heroism this summer. They used their athleticism and CPR skills to save their father who had a heart attack. Dad is doing well now!
