The father of a missing Roanoke infant, believed to be dead, was in a Montgomery County court yesterday for a preliminary hearing on a charge of illegal disposal of a body.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said they believe Arieanna Day is dead and that Andrew Terry disposed of her body before arriving in Montgomery County.
The child's mother reported her missing from their Hanover Avenue home in Roanoke on September 11, 2018. Terry, the four month old's father, told investigators he had been arguing with the child's mother.
Video played in court yesterday showed Terry speaking with investigators, telling them he took the child, who he said was bruised and barely breathing, and drove for about 20-30 minutes. He said she died sometime after he started driving and he dug her a shallow grave.
