Blacksburg Police Make Three Arrests in Bank Robbery


UPDATE

The Blacksburg Police Department has arrested a suspect in the October 24, 2018, bank robbery at First Community Bank on South Main Street.

Adam Tolley was arrested in Pulaski Coounty on the outstanding warrants for Armed Robbery this morning and is being held at the New River Regional Jail in Dublin. 

Additionally, 19-year-old Ian Gustafson and 18-year-old Electra White, both of Montgomery County, have been arrested and charged with Accessory After The Fact in a Felony.

The Blacksburg Police have identified the suspect in yesterday’s bank robbery. Adam Edward Tolley, 35 of Blacksburg is wanted for § 18.2-93 Entering bank, armed, with intent to commit larceny.

Tolley should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach.

ORIGINAL STORY

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on October 24, 2018, the Blacksburg Police Department responded to the First Citizens Bank in the 1900 block of South Main Street in reference to a robbery. 

Officials told police that the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. No weapon was displayed. He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a gray hoodie and sunglasses at the time of the incident.Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, The Virginia Tech Police Department and the Christiansburg Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
