Lynchburg Police Searching For Suspect in High Speed Chase

The Lynchburg Police Department is looking for someone who took officers on a high speed chase Thursday morning.

Police said the chase started in Lynchburg around 2 a.m. on Campbell Avenue.

According to police, speeds in the chase reached more than 100 miles during the chase and they were fighting to keep up with the driver.

Police say they lost the suspect in Rustburg and they believe the driver is a wanted person.

The vehicle is a gold Lexus; however, police were unable to get the license plate.
