Update: Roanoke Police Clarify Incident That Occurred on Peters Creek Road

On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 just after 7:30 p.m., Roanoke Police responded to a report of a person who was shot in the 2700 block of Peters Creek Road, NW. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered that no one had been shot and there were no shots fired. 

Officers determined two adult males and one adult female, who are all known to one another, had agreed to meet on Peters Creek Road.  None of the three individuals involved were from Roanoke. 

During the meeting, a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. One male was transported by Roanoke Fire-EMS to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment of an injury that he sustained during the altercation, when he fell and hit his head on the pavement. The other two parties involved fled the scene and were stopped in the 4900 block of Valley View Boulevard, NW.

All parties have been identified and the investigation is on going. Roanoke Police do not believe there is any danger to the community in regard to this incident.
