Roanoke Teacher Wins "Oscar of Teaching"

A third grade reading teacher at Virginia Heights Elementary has won what educators call the "Oscar of Teaching."  

Caroline Eschenbach won he $25,000 Milken Educator Award which is given to 40 teachers nationwide.  She is the only one in the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive this. 

“My goal is to make a difference whether it be in the life of one student or all," Caroline Eschenbach, Milken Educator Award Recipient, said. "I just feel like when you walk in everyday, your goal should be to make an impact.”
