Lynchburg Woman Indicted On Felony Homicide Abuse Charges

A Grand Jury in Lynchurg has indicted a woman for felony homicide, child abuse and child endangerment charges after the death of her daughter. 

Fantasia Lane was arrested after her daughter Amarah Lane was admitted to Lynchburg General Hospital on August 11 and died. 

Felony Homicide carries a sentence range of 5 years to 40 years, Child Abuse or Neglect Causing Serious Injury carries a sentence range of 2 years to 10 years, and Child Endangerment carries a sentence range of up to 12 months in jail or imprisonment of 1 year to 5 years.

Lane is scheduled for a 3-day jury trial set for March 25 in Lynchburg Circuit Court.
