Cap'n Crunch Recalled Due To Salmonella Risk

The USDA has issued a recall notice saying that Cap'n Crunch's Peanut Butter Crunch has been recalled due to the potential of Salmonella.

Currently, Quaker Oats Company believes that the affect product only reached five Target stores but are issuing a voluntary recall to protect public health.

These stores are in Omaha Nebraska, Saint Louis Missouri, Wichita Kansas, Lincoln Nebraska, and Blue Springs Missouri.

As of now, there are no other Quaker products being recalled.

" The company is working closely with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to further investigate this issue and ensure the recalled products are removed from store shelves and are no longer distributed. In the meantime, the company is taking these actions out of commitment to and concern for consumers. No illnesses related to Salmonella have been confirmed to date." The USDA said in their release.
