Covington Police Arrest 3 For Trying to Sell Meth and Heroin

The Covington Police Department said three people were arrested on felony drug and weapon charges after a traffic stop.

Police said officers stopped the three suspects who traveled to Covington from Roanoke to sell methamphetamine and heroin.

Three officers made contact with the suspect vehicle when it got to Covington yesterday. 

Police said the suspect in the backseat was holding a 9mm Taurus handgun in his lap as officers went up to the vehicle.

They said a large quantity of illegal narcotics were discovered during a search.

Two of the three suspects were wanted on multiple warrants and all three suspects were arrested on several charges.
