Two Charged After Traffic Stop Reveals Truck with Heroin, Meth Inside

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said two people have been arrested after a drug bust.

They said a deputy, patrolling Virgil H. Goode Hwy just south of Boones Mill, saw a truck driving recklessly just after midnight on December 30.

The deputy pulled the driver over, who was identified as a wanted man out of Henry County on three outstanding warrants.

After a search of the vehicle, investigators found a plastic bag containing a crystalline substance, a plastic bag containing a brownish powder, hypodermic needles, digital scales and numerous glassine baggies.

The crystalline substance later tested positive for methamphetamine and the brownish powder later tested positive for heroin.

The sheriff's office arrested Lane Everett Arnold, 33, and Jennie Lee Donley, 31, who was riding in the passenger seat.

Arnold was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of methamphetamine.

Donley was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Arnold is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail without bond and Donley is currently being held without bond in the Western Virginia Regional Jail.
