Roanoke Man Shot While Driving His Own Car On a Lynchburg Street

The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man injured.

Officers responded to the Lynchburg General Hospital emergency room on Tuesday afternoon for reports of a man with gunshot wounds.

When they got there, there was a 19-year-old Roanoke resident who said he was driving down Monroe Street when someone shot into his car.

He received a gunshot wound in his arm and leg, and is currently being treated for those non-life threatening injuries.

Officers located a crime scene at the intersection of Eleventh Street and Monroe Street after an investigation.

They say there are no suspects at this time.

Police say the victim "refused" to provide any more details for this investigation.
