3 People Facing Charges After $50,000+ Worth of Stolen Property, Mail Found

The Amherst County Sheriff's Office said three people are facing charges after investigators recovered a 'significant' amount of stolen property and mail.

They said investigators have executed several search warrants during the past few weeks related to things being stolen, including mail from the county and surrounding areas.

Investigators are now working on processing the seized property and coordinating with surrounding agencies to identify and return the property to the owners.

Property has been recovered for Lynchburg, Appomattox County, Liberty University, and the Norfolk Southern Railroad, plus much more that needs to be identified.

The value of the property and vehicles recovered is more than $50,000.
