Lynchburg Couple Arrested On Multiple Charges Including Grand Theft

Officers with the Lynchburg Police Department have arrested a married couple in connection to an ongoing theft investigation in Lynchburg and Amherst County.

Just before midnight Saturday, Lynchburg Police were dispatched to a call of a stolen vehicle in Lynchburg.

The pursuit ended on Lakeside Drive.

Charles Wesley Branham, 26, of Monroe, was arrested for two counts of Grand Larceny, Felony Eluding, Assault on a Police Officer, two counts of Tampering with Auto, four counts of Attempted Grand Theft Auto, and five counts of Property Damage.

Lauren Alyssa Ware-Branham, 25, Monroe, was arrested for Shoplifting, Grand Theft Auto, Possess Firearm by non-violent felon, Possess Ammunition by convicted felon, and Grand Larceny (not from a person).
