Man wanted for breaking into Lynchburg store, stealing lottery tickets

Lynchburg Police are searching for a suspect who broke into a convenient store Thursday morning.

They said the burglary happened around 6:58 a.m. at the Sunrise Food Mart at 1201 Campbell Avenue.

Police said a victim reported when they arrived to work, they noticed the front glass door of the building was shattered.

They said while inside, the male stole several hundred dollars’ worth of Virginia Lottery tickets before fleeing on foot toward Garfield Ave.

The suspect is described as between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, slender build and wearing a dark colored hoodie, dark pants, dark colored shoes with white soles and gloves.
